Rolling road proven peak gains of 87 BHP and 122 NM.
MORE THAN DOUBLE THE BHP!
This van as many do arrived at us pretuned having already had the clutch and flywheel replaced more than once and with huge clutch judder. Whilst this engine is easily capable of producing 426 NM of torque at 2000rpm (as demonstrated by the previous tuner) the weaker 5 speed drivetrain cannot handle it! We set this back to standard then correctly tuned it brining in the torque smoothly to 360 NM peaking at 3000rpm. With correct fueling, turbo control and shifting the power further up the Rev range we managed to achieve an additional 14 BHP over the previous tune.
The van now has no flywheel judder and another replacement expensive clutch and DMF is not required.
Despite this CR engine being a decade old so many are still tuning them badly, we have tuned over 300 of these 5 speed models on our rolling road to perfection. Whilst a cheap non specialist tuner may seem a good way to save £100, it could cost you a £800 clutch and flywheel or even worse a replacement gearbox.
